Years 3,4 and 5 had a wonderful afternoon this week learning about how Hindu people celebrate weddings. This was part of an RE unit where they have been comparing life journeys of different faiths. “Hindu weddings are huge and are usually held in a temple. The bride and groom get treated as a king and queen. There is dancing and drums and beautiful clothes. The bride and groom have to do a walk of 7 stops where they make promise. The brides parents also hide the grooms shoes!”
