In Year 2, we nurture curious minds, kind hearts and confident learners. Through our school ethos of Shining for Ourselves, Our Community and the World, we encourage every child to develop independence, resilience and a love of learning. We celebrate individual achievements, support one another with kindness and respect, and inspire children to make a positive difference both locally and globally. Together, we help every child shine brightly and reach their full potential.

This year we have many exciting topics to share with the children including: Keeping plants and ourselves healthy, The Monarchy, The Great Fire of London, Captain James Cook (explorers), What is the UK? Comparing our country to Shanghai, Creation, caring for the world and others, Clay structures and making moving monsters.
These topics will enable the children to build on previous knowledge and take their learning forward in an engaging and meaningful way.
