Year 6 Shine Bright at East Barnby!
What a week it has been for our fantastic Year 6 pupils! Their residential trip to East Barnby was
nothing short of incredible. From the moment they arrived, the children threw themselves into
every challenge with smiles, determination, and a spirit of adventure.
Throughout the week, they took part in a range of exciting activities including canoeing, beck
scrambling, body boarding, climbing, beach exploring and orienteering. Activities pushed them
outside their comfort zones and encouraged them to work as a team, show resilience, and support
one another. It was wonderful to see the children grow in confidence and develop important life
skills — all while having so much fun!
The staff at East Barnby commented on what a joy our pupils were to work with, and we couldn’t
agree more. They were an absolute credit to our school — happy, hardworking, and full of
enthusiasm from start to finish.
A huge thank you to Ms Ronsano for accompanying the children all week and to Miss Edwards for
joining the trip too. Their support and energy helped make the week such a success.
We are so proud of each and every one of our Year 6 pupils. This week, they shone not just for
themselves but for each other — and we know they’ll carry these special memories with them for a
long time to come
